**2017 NLJA Annual General Meeting Minutes**
On November 19th, The NLJA and St. John’s Judo and Jiu Jitsu held it’s Fall championships. The event took place at the college of the North Atlantic and saw almost 60 people compete in a wide variety of divisions. With limited injuries, and lots of smiles, the event was a huge success. The NLJA would like to thank everyone involved that helped put off the event, including the St. John’s Judo/Jiu Jitsu club for hosting, the referees and scoreboard personnel, and all the parents and athletes that came out to support the event! A big congratulations to Taylor Russell (Fastest win) and Dezzerai Rossiter for Most Spirited Judoka. Great job guys!

Outgoing Past-President Blair Bradbury was presented with a plaque recognizing his 20+ years of service on NLJA Board and even longer service to judo in the province.
Technical clinic at CNA Gym, St. John's, Nov. 23, 2014
Over 70 judoka from around the province attended the NLJA Fall 2014 Provincial Judo Tournament in St. John's. Sensei Tracy Angus led a technical clinic on Sunday and the 2015 Canada Winter Games Judo team was announced. Winners of the Hannah Family Trophy for Fastest Ippon - Dawson Sampson - Goose Bay Judo Club and the Graham Burt Memorial Trophy for the most Spirited Judoka of the tournament - Keira Pennell - MUN Judo Club.

On January 31st, the NLJA hosted a training camp in gander for the Canada Winter Games team. It was conducted by Sensei Tracey Angus along with Sensei's Tony Corbin, Maurice Sheppard, Eileen Parsons, and Steve Patey. With the help of members of the Sosei Judo Club, and the support of many families and friends, the weekend was full of good judo, and great hospitality.
The NLJA, on behave of all it's members, would like to wish our team good luck and have a great time in Prince George, BC at the 2015 Canada Winter Games on February 13th.
